UTD will be holding IN PERSON PAPER version of the upcoming AMC 8, AMC 10/12 A and AMC 10/12 B competition in 2023-2024 academic year. If you are new to AMC competitions, please visit https://maa.org/math-competitions and click on AMC 8 or AMC 10/12 to get an idea. You are also recommended to visit AOPS AMC Problems website (https://artofproblemsolving.com/wiki/index.php/AMC_Problems_and_Solutions) to see the competition problems from previous years.

Here are the MAA competition dates:

Nov 8th, 2023 —- AMC 10/12 A (Registration deadline: Sunday, October 29, 2023) – We will email your test result out once we receive it from MAA.

Nov 14th, 2023 —- AMC 10/12 B (Registration deadline: Sunday, November 5, 2023) – We will email your test result out once we receive it from MAA.

Jan 17th,  2024 —— AMC 8 (Registration deadline: Sunday, December 17, 2023) – We will email your test result out once we receive it from MAA.

Every participant is required to come to UT Dallas campus to take the test in person. Room # and parking permit will be sent one week prior to the test.

For parking and classroom location on campus, please refer to our parking map (https://services.utdallas.edu/download/Parking_Map.pdf) and campus map (https://map.utdallas.edu/)

To accommodate different schedule and commute time for students, we will be holding the test on the above dates in FOUR different time windows: 10:30 AM – 11:45 AM, or 1:00 PM-2:15 PM, or 2:30 PM – 3:45 PM, or 6:00 PM – 7:15 PM; and you find the schedule & time windows that works the best for you and make sure make the corresponding selection for the time window in the registration form.

Since campus is open and we are in the middle of the Fall semester on the test dates, DO expect high traffic on campus parking and classroom buildings. Please try to arrive at least 15 minutes prior to  the test time – we will not accommodate students who arrives late (you will have less time to take your test).

There is a registration fee of $15 per student per test – if you are signing up for multiple tests, please make sure you fill the form multiple times too – but make ONE payment with the total amount, or, pay multiple times with different credit cards (our “paranoid” system does NOT accept multiple payment transactions using the same credit card in the same day)

Questions? Please email Dr. Ranran Feng (rrfeng@utdallas.edu). She is the lead in charge of organizing & conducting AMC competitions at UT Dallas.
